E-Bike World Championships Ischgl 2025
On 4 September 2025, it took place once again – the E-Bike World Championships for everyone in Ischgl! For the second time, the Pinion team was at the start with a small but highly motivated team. This year, the event once again thrilled spectators with strong competition, a great atmosphere and challenging conditions.
The Pinion Factory Team 2025 showed impressive commitment on the demanding elite course. The route was tough: a combination of steep climbs, technical trails and changing weather conditions – including cold weather and light snowfall – demanded everything from the riders. Full concentration was also required on the downhill sections, with fast flow passages alternating with technically demanding sections.
The Pinion MGUs once again impressed with their reliability and shifting precision – especially on the technical uphill sections and descents. This allowed the riders to reach their full potential and impress with their impressive endurance, riding technique and team spirit.

Thanks to the Pinion MGU, I can shift gears at any time, regardless of the terrain I’m on.
Especially on the trails, I don’t have to worry about getting stuck somewhere at the back – where the rear derailleur is normally located – which is a decisive advantage over derailleur gears.
Conclusion
I definitely had a lot of fun at the E-Bike World Championships for Everyone. The great atmosphere, the weather and seeing the MGU in action during the race rounded off the event perfectly.

The MGU delivered a mega performance. I was fascinated by the smooth shifting – at any time and even under load – and the dynamics on the hill. The Haibike was agile and manoeuvrable on the downhill sections. For small people like me in size S, the geometry was perfect.
Conclusion
A great Pinion-team event and an exciting race with a route that posed a wide variety of challenges for both men and women and their bikes.

Pinion MGU
The MGU worked again without any failures – whether uphill or downhill. A truly worry-free package with plenty of power on technical uphill sections and, thanks to the semi-automatic (Preselect) system, also excellent on downhill sections. For me, it’s the ultimate: I can concentrate fully on the technical aspects, such as choosing the right line, and the MGU always shifts gears at exactly the right moment.
Conclusion
This year was more successful, at least for my teammates, as they were able to start in poor conditions in the qualifying round and secure a front starting position. For me, however, the start was cancelled right in front of my eyes – too much snow, too dangerous. I was able to make up a few places in the race and hold on to them, but it could have gone better, as I was held up on the descents.
