E-MTB Camp in Kaltern/South Tyrol

14. May 2024

Trail fun in South Tyrol

From April 22 to 25, 2024, the E-MTB Camp took place in Kaltern/South Tyrol and offered the participants an unforgettable time in one of the most beautiful cycling paradises – the varied landscape around Kaltern and Tramin. Together with our partner Simplon, we took part for the first time. Around 40 participants had the exclusive opportunity to test the brand new Simplon Rapcon – equipped with the Pinion MGU – on the trails.

Concentrated expert knowledge

Our team, consisting of Product Manager Andy Benz, Technical Event Support Sinan Oyan and Social Media Manager John Lamp, provided the participants with expert knowledge and valuable tips throughout the camp.

4 fantastic days

We look back on a fantastic time with four days of biking fun on fantastic trails, with brand new MGU e-bikes, professional guiding by the experienced team around Holger Meyer and Karen Eller, with interesting workshops and of course delicious South Tyrolean specialties.

A big thank you to our partner Simplon for the successful cooperation and E-MTB Magazine as the organizer. It was a pleasure to do the camp together with you!

PINION SCORES POINTS IN GRAVEL BIKE COMPARISON TEST

The comparison test by Gran Fondo contrasts two high-end gravel bikes: the Falkenjagd Aristos R with Rohloff hub gears and the Rennstahl 853 PI with Pinion transmission. The result impressively shows why Pinion is the future-proof choice for many.
While the Rohloff hub scores with 14 gears, the Pinion gearbox offers 18 finely graduated gears and central placement for better weight distribution. In addition, the electronic Smart.Shift system enables lightning-fast gear changes, even under load or when stationary.
