PINION PRODUCT MANAGEMENT STRENGTHENED BY INDUSTRY EXPERT

Pinion GmbH, manufacturer of innovative drive systems for bicycles based in Denkendorf near Stuttgart, is delighted to announce that Andy Benz has joined the team as Product Manager in January 2024. As a passionate hobby mountain biker, but above all through his previous activities in the bicycle industry, he brings a wealth of experience to the area of product management at Pinion.

Following the successful product launch of the Pinion Motor.Gearbox.Unit and the expansion of Smart.Shift technology (electric shifting, including for non-e-bikes), the course has been set for further growth at the drive specialist from Stuttgart. PINION SMART.SHIFT IN DOWNHILL WORLDCUP

Our Pinion Smart.Shift technology caused a sensation last year with the Stromer ST7. In the future, the electric shift control will also be seen in combination with other e-bikes in the E-Speed and E-Light categories, as well as for the first time as a version with its own power supply for normal Pinion bikes without motor assistance.

For the past two years, the Swiss professional team Gamux Racing has been relying on the advantages of our gearbox technology in professional cycling and is developing its own downhill bikes around the central gear shift.

WORLD’S FIRST. MOTOR AND GEARBOX. FINALLY UNITED. At the Eurobike Pinion recently presented the new E-Drive system. The drivetrain is the heart of an e-bike. Until now, this has consisted of two separate systems – a gearshift and a motor, which usually come from different manufacturers and yet somehow have to work together. The consequences are bad shifting performance, high wear, followed by high maintenance with enormous costs. The Pinion Motor.Gearbox.Unit (MGU) is here to change that.
