SANTOS BIKES PRESENTS NEW MODELS WITH PINION SMART.SHIFT
At Velofollies in Belgium, the most important cycling trade fair in the Benelux region, Santos Bikes unveiled its latest Pinion bikes – now equipped with Pinion Smart.Shift technology. Two new e-bikes, the Travelmaster E+ and the LowStep, are now available with Pinion Smart.Shift and a powerful Neodrives rear motor. This combination ensures seamless, intuitive shifting performance and an effortless riding experience – perfect for long tours and everyday use.
THREE PINION E-BIKES AWARDED THE DESIGN & INNOVATION AWARD
Pinion's innovative strength has once again been recognized: At the renowned Design & Innovation Award, three e-bikes with Pinion technology won over the expert jury. The winning bikes are: The Flyer Upstreet TR:CF 7.63 HS, the Kettler Pinniato FS Sport and the Desiknio Dopamine Smart.Shift.

FIRE DEPARTMENT IN THE NETHERLANDS RELIES ON KLEVER S-PEDELECS WITH PINION GEARBOX
The municipality of Houten in the Netherlands has purchased 26 speed pedelecs from Klever to optimize the work of the volunteer fire department. The S-Pedelecs with the C1.9 Pinion gearbox enable the volunteers to get to the fire station quickly and in an environmentally friendly way after being alerted. With a top speed of 45 km/h, they offer the perfect and sustainable alternative to a normal car, especially for short distances.
E-BIKE UPGRADE FOR PINION X SCHINDELHAUER BIKES
Our long-standing partner Schindelhauer from Berlin is launching five new models with the Mahle X20 system. Specifically, this means that the Arthur, Antonia, Emil and Emilia models have been given an e-bike upgrade. All models are equipped with either a Pinion C1.6 or C1.9 classic gearbox, work perfectly with the Mahle X20 system and, thanks to the 55 Nm torque drive, get their riders to their destination quickly and comfortably.
URWAHN PRESENTS NEW URBAN AND GRAVEL E-BIKES WITH PINION SMART.SHIFT
Urwahn Bikes is setting new standards in the e-bike sector with its new Urban and Gravel series. The STADTFUCHS and WALDWIESEL models are now even lighter, faster and smarter thanks to innovative 3D printing technology and high-tech drives, namely our Pinion Smart.Shift gearbox (either C1.9i or C1.12i). In combination with the powerful Mahle X20 rear hub motor, the gearbox ensures outstanding performance.
PINION CONTINUES TO GROW WITH NEW PARTNERS
While the drive specialist from southern Germany presented an absolute world first last year with the MGU, this year's Eurobike also has exciting news to announce: In addition to the fully automatic MGU, which will be available via a software update from Q3 2024, other strong bike brands are also relying on the Pinion E-Drive system. And the Smart.Shift technology in conjunction with strong system partners is increasingly being used on bikes with and without drive.
PINION BEIM INDUSTRIETAG DER HOCHSCHULE ESSLINGEN
On May 15, 2024, we were at the Industry Day of Esslingen University of Applied Sciences in the Neckarforum.
The Industry Day is a career fair at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences that takes place twice a year. Students can find out about possible internships, working student activities, final theses or career entry opportunities.
E-MTB Camp in Kaltern/South Tyrol
From April 22 to 25, 2024, the E-MTB Camp took place in Kaltern/South Tyrol and offered the participants an unforgettable time in one of the most beautiful cycling paradises - the varied landscape around Kaltern and Tramin. Together with our partner Simplon, we took part for the first time. Around 40 participants had the exclusive opportunity to test the brand new Simplon Rapcon - equipped with the Pinion MGU - on the trails.
KETTLER Pinniato Speed wins 2nd place at VAB in Belgium
VAB announced the winners of the “Bike of the Year Awards 2024” at the beginning of May. The KETTLER Pinnato Speed took 2nd place in the “Speed Pedelecs (45 km/h)” category.
