NICOLAI R20 MGU AON Edition: A True Downhill E-Bike

What do you get when you combine an uncompromising 200 mm downhill bike with an e-drive system? The Nicolai R20 MGU AON Edition.

Its foundation comes straight from racing: the CNC-machined 7075 aluminium rear end, geometry and kinematics were carried over from the GAMUX Sego DH World Cup bike. Building on this platform, NICOLAI developed a dedicated frame around our Pinion Motor.Gearbox.Unit and the GATES Belt Drive.
The project shows what becomes possible when drivetrain, frame and suspension are designed as one integrated system from the very beginning.

The MGU combines motor and gearbox in one compact unit, creating new possibilities for highly specialized bike concepts.
The idea behind the R20 is simple: Ride downhill, get back up, go for the next run.
