With the official handover of a Pinion MGU (Motor.Gearbox.Unit) and a Bulls Vuca EVO AM 2 to the Deutsches Museum in Munich, these innovative products from Pinion and Bulls become part of the new mountain biking exhibition set to open in fall 2025. Already now, the MGU and the Vuca EVO AM 2 are on display in the museum’s entrance area – as technological highlights and symbols of the future of cycling.
Both the Pinion Motor.Gearbox.Unit and the Bulls Vuca EVO AM 2 represent “high-end” performance and the evolution of the bicycle into a vehicle – marking a pivotal development step toward the full integration of drive system and gearbox in bicycle construction, which is clearly reflected in the overall concept of the Vuca EVO AM 2. “We are extremely pleased and proud to present not just one but two outstanding exhibits in our museum with the Pinion MGU and the Bulls Vuca EVO AM 2,” says Dr. Lukas Breitwieser, curator of the Department of Transport, Mobility, and Transit. “Both exemplify technological innovation and the transformation of the bicycle into a high-performance vehicle in their own distinct ways.”
Although the exhibition will not officially open until the fall, the display of the MGU and Vuca EVO AM 2 in the entrance area of the Deutsches Museum already offers an impressive preview of what’s to come. For Pinion and Bulls, being included in the Deutsches Museum is a special moment – the MGU and the Vuca EVO AM 2 are now recognized as part of Germany’s cultural heritage.
