A special adventure starts on May 1st: Tommaso Weller, known as @tallbiketommy, sets off on an epic journey together with his friend Jakob. Their destination? From Munich to Beijing – on a self-built Tallbike equipped with a P1.18 Pinion gearbox! This 13,000-kilometer bike ride is not only intended to be an unforgettable experience, but also to support a good cause: For every kilometer ridden, they want to collect one euro and thus donate a total of 13,000 euros to German Cancer Aid.
A very special bike for a special mission
The centerpiece of this journey is the “Ko Shamo Tallbike”. The frame, manufactured by Huhn Cycle, is a truly special feature and makes the Tallbike a unique vehicle. Equipped with high-quality components and supported by numerous brands, this setup was built with an inspiring idea in mind:
“Sometimes it’s okay to tap into your inner child and dream big – no matter how wild or unrealistic they may seem.”
With this ride, Tommy and Jakob want to show that life should be enjoyed whenever possible. At the same time, they want to support people who don’t have the same freedom due to illness or other circumstances. Combining their great passion, bikepacking, with a charitable cause has long been a dream of theirs – now it is becoming a reality.
