Pinion Smart.Shift combines the reliable and almost maintenance-free gearbox shifting technology with the advantages of pushbutton electric shifting. Shifting is done at the touch of a button – quickly, ergonomically, and intuitively. The system shifts while riding, while stationary, and while under load!

The other functions are also smart: The starting gear can be pre-selected and thanks to the integrated shift indicator in the E-bike display, the selected gear is visible while riding.

“We are shifting into the future! The Stromer ST7 with the electric Pinion Smart.Shift technology takes shifting performance to the next level. In close cooperation with Stromer, we succeeded in realising a complete system integration including power supply from the e-bike battery, as well as indication of the Smart.Shift settings and gear information in the e-bike display via CAN bus.

SMART.SHIFT Gearbox

Pinion Smart.Shift gearboxes differ from the P and C line gearboxes in their internal structure. The shifting mechanisms and sensor technology are the main differences. Smart.Shift gearboxes are based on the C-line and are marked with an „i“. (C1.12i, C1.9i, C1.6i).

Shifter E-TRIGGER TE1

The ergonomic TE1 shift lever was specially developed for electric shifting with Pinion Smart.Shift technology. The rubberised button surfaces provide ideal contact points for the thumb and the haptic button tuning ensures precise shifting. Button assignment is fully customizable.

SMART.SHIFT BOX

The Smart.Shift Box controls the electric shifting in the Smart.Shift gearbox. Here, the signal from shifter is received and translated into a shift movement in the gearbox.
